Ruddington's display is confirmed for Saturday 7 November, gates 4.30pm. Trent Bridge, sold out three years running, has announced nothing for 2026 yet.

Rushcliffe Borough Council does not run a bonfire night display. Its own fireworks are the low-noise finale at the West Bridgford Christmas Lights Switch On in November, not anything on 5 November. So the borough’s bonfire night is whatever the cricket ground, the heritage railway, the sports clubs and the pubs decide to put on.

As of 3 September 2026 exactly one display in the borough is confirmed and on sale, and it is not the big one.

Bonfire night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November, so displays will cluster on Saturday 7 November and the weekend either side.

Confirmed: Ruddington, Saturday 7 November

The Fireworks Extravaganza at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, Mere Way, Ruddington Fields, NG11 6JS, is booked for Saturday 7 November 2026.

From Great Central Railway Nottingham’s own event page:

  • Gates open 4.30pm.
  • Firework display 7.30pm.
  • Prices from £6.50.
  • Miniature railway rides, a traditional heritage fairground, live music, hot food and a licensed bar.

Check availability before you set off. The railway’s own page still shows a “Book Now” button and “Prices From £6.50”, but the booking itself, on TryBooking, reads “there are no available tickets for this event” and offers a waitlist instead. Both were true on 3 September 2026. The event page has not caught up with its own box office, which is exactly the trap that sends families to Ruddington on the night without tickets.

The TryBooking listing gives the window as 4.30pm to 9pm and repeats the 7.30pm display time, so the two sources agree on everything except whether you can still buy a ticket.

Trent Bridge: three sell-outs, then silence

The biggest fireworks night actually inside West Bridgford is the Notts Street Food fireworks at Trent Bridge cricket ground, NG2 6AG, run with the city centre business group It’s in Nottingham. It has sold out three years running.

  • 2023: Saturday 4 November, one night. Gates 4.30pm, display 8.15pm, viewed from the PKF Smith Cooper Stand. £9 adult, £4 under-16, £22 for two adults and two under-16s, per Nottingham City Transport. Sold out.
  • 2024: Friday 1 and Saturday 2 November. Gates 6.30pm Friday and 5.30pm Saturday, displays at 8.30pm and 7.30pm, each 15 minutes. Friday was set to a pop playlist, Saturday to a Greatest Showman theme. Both nights sold out by 28 October.
  • 2025: Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 November, with a Halloween-themed display on the Saturday. Early-bird tickets went on sale in the week commencing 22 September to people who had registered interest or bought in 2024, before general sale.

There is no 2026 announcement. Trent Bridge’s events page currently lists a wine festival on 8 to 10 October, the Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival on 7 to 10 October and a drone light show on 5 December. No fireworks night. Its news archive carries nothing about fireworks in August or the first days of September 2026.

That matters because the club announced the last two on 25 August 2024 and 24 August 2025. It is now past both anniversaries with nothing published.

Worse, the club’s standing page at trentbridge.co.uk/fireworks-night.html is still live and still says: “Tickets for our Notts Street Food Firework Night event on Saturday 4 November, delivered alongside Presenting Partner It’s in Nottingham, are now sold out.” That is the 2023 date. Anyone landing on it today will read a three-year-old sell-out as this year’s news. The only useful thing on it is the register-your-interest form, which is how early-bird tickets have been released in past years.

What the club has booked instead, on Saturday 5 December, is Sky Kingdom, a drone light show with no loud bangs. Whether that replaces the fireworks or sits alongside them is not something the club has said.

The village displays: none confirmed for 2026

Five more displays ran across Rushcliffe in 2025. We could not verify a single 2026 date from an organiser’s own page, and we are not going to repeat last year’s dates as though they were this year’s. What ran in 2025, as listed by Off Out Nottingham on 6 October 2025:

  • Radcliffe Community Firework Fiesta, Bingham Road Playing Fields NG12 2GP, Sunday 2 November, gates 4.30pm, quieter display 5.30pm, main display 6.30pm, £6.50 adult and £3.50 for ages 4 to 17.
  • Bingham Bonfire and Fireworks, Bingham Town Sports Club NG13 8GG, Saturday 1 November, 5.30pm to 8.30pm, bonfire lit 6.15pm, displays at 7pm and 8pm, £5 adult, £3 child, £14 family.
  • Keyworth Rugby Club fireworks, gates 6.45pm, bonfire 7pm, display 7.30pm.
  • The White Horse, Church Street, Ruddington NG11 6HD, Tuesday 4 November, gates 6pm, display between 7pm and 8pm, £10 adult and £5 under-11, with a hotdog or burger included.
  • Kinoulton Cricket Club, Hickling Lane NG12 3SE, Friday 7 November, gates 6pm, bonfire from 7pm, £7 adult, £5 under-16, £20 family, cash or card on the gate.

Where we looked for 2026 and found nothing: Bingham Town Council’s news page has no bonfire item, and its most recent bonfire story is from 2022. The Radcliffe on Trent community site’s events feed returns zero events for anything from September 2026 onwards. Both were checked on 3 September 2026.

Practical points

  • Rushcliffe asks for quiet fireworks. The council has used lower-noise effects at its own events since 2021, and formally encourages residents and external event operators to do the same, citing people with sensory processing disorders, PTSD and respiratory conditions, plus pets, livestock and wildlife.
  • Arrive at Ruddington nearer the 4.30pm gates than the 7.30pm display. The heritage centre sits at the end of Mere Way in Ruddington Fields Business Park, a single approach road, and the railway’s event page publishes no parking detail at all. If parking matters to your plans, ring the centre on 0115 940 5705 before you go.

  • Check the roads first. Anything closed on the night will be on our roadworks and travel page, and Lady Bay Bridge can shut around City Ground events under a separate order.

  • Trent Bridge: its news feed and the register-your-interest form on the fireworks page. Watch for it in the second half of September, since that is when early-bird sales opened in 2025.
  • Ruddington: the GCRN events page, already live.
  • Radcliffe, Bingham and Keyworth: their own club and council pages, typically in the first half of October.
