West Bridgford is not Nottingham, and the difference shows up every time you look something up. The town is in the Rushcliffe borough, which runs from Trent Bridge out to Gotham, Cotgrave, Bingham and East Leake, so a borough average is rarely the West Bridgford answer. It also has no railway station, two councils charging for parking in the same town centre, and a trunk road across its southern edge that belongs to neither of them.

This site is for West Bridgford and Lady Bay, Gamston, Edwalton and Compton Acres, and for the rest of Rushcliffe: Ruddington, Radcliffe on Trent, Bingham, Cotgrave, Keyworth, East Leake, Tollerton and the Vale of Belvoir villages. We read what the councils publish and report what is in it, with the source linked every time.

Start with these

  • West Bridgford house prices: a £367,500 median in the NG2 postcodes against £338,301 across the borough, and what every postcode sector actually sold for.
  • Trains to London: the town has no station, the tram gets you to one, and the eastern villages should go via Grantham.
  • Roadworks and travel: the A52 junction rebuild, both Trent crossings, and the £30 charge that catches out drivers who stay three hours and one minute.
  • Things to do: Trent Bridge tours at £10, the City Ground, and four places that cost nothing to walk into.
  • Planning news: the City Ground applications, which the planning committee decides on 16 September 2026, and the 873 homes a year the borough must find.
